this reminds me a bit of a chalet I found in a small forest near the one of my uncle. it was pretty dark in there, and I ran away because I heart something :P 10 minutes later I came back with my boyfriend.
Was there something inside?

That is very cool! I love exploring places like this. Oddly enough I was there with my friend and he was heading upstairs while I was still shooting downstairs. Next thing I hear is "OH SHIT!" and he is slowly coming back down the stairs. Turns out there were baby vultures in one of the upstairs rooms. I will post a pic of them later. They were huge though! You never know what you will find in old houses. =p

Oh birds can make you scared for nothing! Many animals/birds live in these houses.
When they demolished the castle of mesen, they found out that there lived (rare) bats. now these animals will have no home anymore.
in these old houses, you see also verry much birdsh*t. :P

I can't help but wonder if it was the birds themselves, or just how creepy it was that they were in there that was more troubling.
It is a shame, they are just doing what they need to survive. We respected their presence and left them alone, after all it is their house. We didn't even go into the room.
And the entire floor was covered in it! The upstairs smelled horrible from it, and I left with an awful headache, but it was worth it to get some good shots. lol
